Swelter Gathered Studs

Our striking silver handmade studs are crafted using drop casting techniques; this involves heating the silver to melting point and plunging it into very cold water. The water bubbles around the silver due to the contrasting temperatures suddenly meeting. As the bubbles rush to the surface of the water, the silver cools as sets around the bubbles causing organic forms to develop. There is no guarantee or control over how the silver will form. This method resulted in our Mini Swelter design being created. The cup shape was then cast allowing replications to be created. Silver chain detailing is then secured within the solid outer molten cup.

This piece is handmade, therefore variations will occur from piece to piece and slight differences will occur from the exact design photographed.
